AbstractThe article discusses the phenomenological ideas of the french philosopher M. Merleau-Ponty, which formed the basis of S. Holl’s architectural concepts. Through the Holl’s books analysis and the study of his Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma project - traced the relationship between architecture and the senses, that is, phenomenological basis of design. Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma - as the center of all the phenomenological principles of architect Steven Holl.
