Abstract
The article examines the concept of "thinking", "professional thinking," "critical thinking", "creative thinking" and is set between them scientifically based hierarchy. Research directions are considered the notion of "critical thinking", the main group of indicators of critical thinking and evaluation of its levels of development in the scientific literature.
