Abstract
This article is about history of the development of skyscraper architecture as a new type of building, technological and socio-cultural base, contributing to the development of high-rise construction. The article examines a number of architectural styles during the late XIX century and the twentieth century as an example of the composition analysis of the iconic objects of high-rise buildings.
