AbstractThe theoretical analysis of poorly soluble calcium compounds formation in the open systems СаX2 - Na2SiO3 - Н2О with varying concentrations of calcium ions, Ca/Si molar ratio and pH was made. According to the results of calculation of the Gibbs energy change in the crystallization process it was found that СаSiO3 thermodynamically can form at pH = 8 ÷ 12 together with СаСO3. At higher pH Ca(OH)2 may precipitate. On this basis optimum conditions of calcium silicate synthesis by deposition method was proposed. Keywords: aqueous solutions, calcium carbonate, calcium silicate, crystallization, deposition method, Gibbs energy, open systems, soluble compounds
