Abstract
This article is devoted to the topical problems of preservation of the housing stock and its reproduction at the level of major cities. Identified the main characteristics of reproduction of the housing Fund in a large city on the example of St. Petersburg, revealed priority directions of development of the process of transformation of the housing stock in the city.
