FEATURES DRYING COTTON SARTSY USING FUNCTIONAL CERAMICS SYNTHESIZED ON A LARGE SOLAR FURNACE

Abstract
A method is developed for effective drying of raw cotton using functional ceramics synthesized on the Big Solar Furnace (g.Parkent). To achieve this goal, there are two types of ceramic materials, one of which provides high-quality and effective drying of the cotton, and the second - to prevent the formation of peroxy radicals in cotton seeds of cottonseed oil. Preliminary results showed that IR-drying with the functional ceramic, the total energy consumption is 9-10 times smaller than in the conventional method, and energy costs are reduced by more than a factor of 2-3. At relatively low energy consumption method allows to obtain a final product with a residual moisture content not exceeding 6-7%, which contributes to its better safety and decrease the likelihood of spontaneous combustion.
