Abstract
In the article the basic stages of information technology, the definition of information and communication technologies in the tourism and hotel industry, as well as their role and use in the activities of the modern hotel and tourist organizations, as manifested in: a theoretical analysis of the main components, namely, information, communication, information technologies, communication technologies, information and communication technology, process, etc .; determining the communication objectives; discussed aspects of the application of information and communication technologies in the activity of the enterprises of tourist and recreational sector; stressed the importance of disseminating information and communication technologies in the tourism industry.
