THE CORRELATIONS OF POSITIVE PERSONAL QUALITIES

Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of correlations between different positive parameters – subjective well-being, happiness, hope, subjective success, the ability to determine the life goals, emotional maturity, ability of the present moment awareness, life satisfaction, desire for personal growth and the initiative to him, a tendency to curiosity and exploration, the motivation to search for meaning in life and sense of meaning, sense of gratitude, satisfaction with the marriage, and depression, as opposed to a positive parameter.
Positive personal qualities (and contrasted them with depression) detect multiple positive (with depression – negative) correlations. This allows speaking about existence of total factor of positivity. Positive people positive in everything and do not show signs of depression.
Depression set in opposition to the positivity of a person in general.
The least associated with other positive parameters ones are the level of motivation to search for meaning in life, the level of propensity for curiosity and research, marital satisfaction.
The article may be of interest to all psychologists interested in positive psychology.
