Abstract
The article discusses the economic integration of the EU and BRICS from the perspective of development of the world economy in conditions of the systemic nature of the crisis. Despite significant differences in the level of development of the countries that make up these blocks, they have a number of common problems associated with the crisis, demographic trends, and associated problems of labour market, investment, corruption and a number of others. It seems that the solution to these problems is possible with the equitable cooperation of countries with different economic integration.
