AbstractThis article is considered the euphemisms and kakofemism as a means of creating emotionality of the artistic text. Material for analysis served as the works of writers of the Mordovian language. The author points out that euphemisms are used to hide gross, unwanted for the environment of words, kakofemism, by contrast, are used to transmit an unfavourable, mistreatment of speaking to others in order to censure, reprimand, showing neglect. Thanks to them, the artistic text is stylistically saturated, more emotional.Keywords: a euphemism, artistic text, emotion, emotionality, kakofemism, trope
