Abstract
The article analyzes pecularities of financial risk management in the leading companies of the steel and mining industry, highlighted special methods of neutralization of risks, implemented in the period of the last economic crisis. There were calculated financial and statistical indicators that gave base for evaluation of the effectiveness of the measures used.
