Abstract
The relevance of this study is the need to ensure water quality and finding new ways of wastewater treatment. Objective. To study the action of ultraviolet radiation and ultrasonic vibrations on the microorganisms in the wastewater. Research methods. Standard methods of microbiological analysis, regulated SanPiN 2.1.5.980-00 and ICB 4.2.1884-04. Results. Comparative analysis of the effects of radiation and ultrasound excilamps revealed that corresponds to the maximum degree of inactivation and simultaneous irradiation XeBr- KrCl-excilamps and ultrasonic treatment, in contrast, leads to the growth of pathogens. In relation to the bacteria of the genus Proteus in the experiment revealed the effectiveness of ultraviolet irradiation excilamps and inefficiency of ultrasonic processing. It is recommended to use these facts in the design of low-power water treatment plants and / or treatment with water containing the major fraction of organic substances.
