Abstract
In article features of perception of civil society during various periods of development of idea of civil society are considered by various scientists and philosophers. It is noted that when studying concept of civil society, it is necessary to consider it during every period of development of the philosophical thought devoted to searches of the purposes and problems of essence of civil society.
