RESISTANCE TO FATIGUE OF MATERIALS DUE TO THE CHAOTIC STATE OF PROCESSES OF DAMAGES AT THE MESOSCALE LEVEL

Abstract
The mechanical characteristics of polycrystalline materials at fatigue are investigated. Processes of damages at the mesostructural level based on the speed of accumulation of local deformations are studied. For an assessment of randomness (uncertainty) of processes of damages the concept of «entropy of speeds of mesodamages» is entered. This entropy was accepted as a characteristic of global damage and was calculated according to the Shannons’s formula. The randomness has changed through the use of various technologies of hardening. The correlation between resistance to fatigue and the entered characteristic of damage of material is detected.
