AbstractThe article deals with methodological problems of research on price discrimination in the market of substitute goods. With improved technology manufacturers reduce the proportion of fixed costs, and have options to create a product line without increasing cost. Price discrimination is considered as a comprehensive solution and depends on factors such as the degree of substitutability of goods and services, the availability of market power, strategic goals.
