AbstractThe article describes the determination of specific and total effort by rolling strips in rolls with a reverse taper. Analysis of the formulas for determining the contact pressure shows a slight decrease in the contact pressure when rolling in a reverse taper rollers, which is primarily due to a decrease of the contact friction forces, since the value of δ * depends on the angle θ, characterizing the difference between the diameters of the rolls and, in turn, form the deformation zone.
