THE RESEARCH OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF HYDROPHOBIC ADDITIVES IN CEMENT-SANDY SOLUTIONS DEPENDING ON WATER-CEMENT RATIO

Abstract
This article is dedicated to the effectiveness of hydrophobic additives in cement-sand solutions depending on water-cement ratio. The consistency of the solution was determined with water-cement ratio from 0,45 to 0,7. The research shows that with increasing water-cement ratio of more than 0,55 siliconorganic liquid (NGL-94) thickens the mixture of the solution, and zinc stearate saves the blurring of the cone, almost at the same level. Found that zinc stearate has a higher water repellence efficiency than the repellent NGL-94, without reducing the compressive strength of cement-sand solution. With increasing water-cement ratio from 0,45 to 0,7 compressive strength of cement-sand solution after 28 days of hardening with zinc stearate equal to 42,8 and 25,9 MPa, respectively, and NGL-94 equal to 32,5 and 18,0 MPa, respectively.
