ACUTE TRANSVERSE MYELITIS: UNFAMILIAR GUISE OF SYSTEMIC LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS

AbstractThe review article summarizes information about myelopathy associated with SLE. Myelitis is one of the rare complications of SLE, but this condition is rather serious, because of probability of disability. However, if this complication was diagnosed well in time and treated properly, there is high frequency of good prognosis. In the article actual information about two subtypes of myelitis associated with SLE is described. These two subtypes distinguish clinically and prognosticly. In this review diagnostic criteria of myelitis and strategies of therapy are represented.
