STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF POLYMER ADDITIVES, MODIFIED POLYACRYLAMIDES ON THE WATER-HOLDING ABILITY AND COMPRESSION STRENGTH OF CEMENT-SAND MORTAR

Abstract
This article is dedicated to investigation of the impact of the native polymeric additive of methylcellulose modified by polyacrylamides on water-holding capacity of cement-sand mortar mixtures and the kinetics of hardening of cement-sand mortar. The study shows that in combination of additives of methylcellulose in an amount of 0,05% and polyacrylamides - 0,05-0,1% water-holding capacity of the mortar mixtures practically saved. Also there is the second-ary effect of modification: with the addition of methylcellulose mortar become more plastic and easy for stacking, and with the addition of the polyacrylamides mortar become more plastic, sticky, stringy. This is a consequence of the inclusion of long polymer molecules in the system. Determined that early compressive strength of the cement-sand mortar with polymer additives, modified polyacrylamides in all the compositions is not inferior to the compressive strength of the composition with the methylcellulose. In the later stages of hardening the compressive strength of ce-ment-sand mortar with complex additives is slightly lower than the control composition.
