THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD IN MODERN FOREIGN BOOKS

Abstract
The finite element method has long been one of the main in the calculations of buildings and structures. The rapid development of computer technology over the last few decades has significantly expanded the possibilities of using this method, and gave a basis for drawing up new methods of calculation. In this article, the authors propose a selection and a brief description of the most important and interesting foreign publications devoted to the finite element method (FEM), which were published at the beginning of this century.
