AbstractThis article is devoted to the study of cognitive activity of adolescents harmonious families and the orphanage. The results showed a lower intensity of cognitive activity, the motivation of avoiding failure, cognitive tendency to closed position at the children's home. Reduced performance of cognitive activity in all study participants showed the importance of this quality at modern adolescents.Keywords: cognitive activity, cognitive position, educational motivation, harmonious family, teens, the children's home
