AbstractBiomechanical aspects of numerical simulation of contact interaction of fragments in the treatment of tibial fractures are discussed. Simulation is performed to monitor and load limit on the bone fragments at the fracture healing. A device for monitoring of load on the bone fragments in process the fracture healing is proposed. This device can be used for the prevention of postoperative complications in patients with fractures of the tubular bones of the lower leg. Keywords: contact interaction of bone fragments, load limit, monitoring, numerical modeling, tibial fractures
