Abstract
Article is devoted to a problem of information counteraction to manifestations of extremism in modern Russian society. Bases of information counteraction to extremism are investigated. Concepts of extremism and terrorism reveal, the reasons causing their manifestation in modern conditions are given. The factors reducing efficiency of anti-extremist actions come to light. The directions of optimization of activity on information counteraction to extremism are offered.
