AbstractThe current state of international relations, especially in a troubled Middle East region, made the debate about the right of states to interfere in their neighbors’ armed conflicts highly relevant. This topic is not new for the science and the arguments of supporters and opponents of military intervention tend to rely on the rich historical experience of such operations. In this regard, one cannot forget about the intervention of the Entente countries (primarily, the United Kingdom, France and the United States) in Russia in 1918 – 1919, which gave ample material for analysis to politicians.
