AbstractWe studied the state and structural change in the industry of geodesy and cartography. Describes the contemporary problems of the industry, taking into account changes in the system of management of the industry. Demonstrates the necessity of using methods of strategic management at the level of the industry. To preserve and increase its capacity, industry management should be implemented taking into account the principles and methods of strategic management. Only considering the industry as an object of strategic management to constantly monitor changes in the external environment, it is possible to save and augment the industry capacity.Keywords: geodesy and cartography, strategic management, the structure of management of the industry
